Emile Hirsch grew a beard for his role as Christopher McCandless (aka Alexander Supertramp) in Into The Wild. This is one of the most moving and inspirational films I have ever seen. It follows the true story of McCandless as, after graduating, he shuns expectations to go tramping around America and Canada. Sean Penn is a truly great director.
